What kind of projects does BOLT WOODWORKS take on?
Full and partial camper conversions of vans with real potential for living in them. We also take on custom woodworking projects outside the camper world: furniture, interior design, and one-of-a-kind pieces. If you have a van and an idea, let us know. If it’s technically feasible, we’ll let you know honestly.
How long does a project take?
We do not work with standard timelines. Actual timelines are determined during the initial briefing phase. We typically complete full camper conversions within 60 to 120 days. Partial projects and custom woodworking projects usually take us between 20 and 60 days.
Is it possible to do a partial camper conversion or a project that focuses solely on the furniture?
Yes, when there’s a clear reason. Customized solutions are entirely feasible within the BOLT WOODWORKS process. If you’re looking for a standard kit that can be assembled in an afternoon, we’re probably not the right choice. If you’re looking for a custom-designed interior—thoughtful and well-planned—that’s exactly what we do.
Is the van still legal after it has been converted into a camper?
Yes. We work based on technical and documentation criteria: modifications are made with the goal of obtaining residential certification and ensuring that the van can be driven without any issues. We handle the vehicle inspection (ITV), renovation, and change-of-use process when the project requires it.
How is payment for the project structured?
In four payments: €1,000 + VAT as a reservation fee, 50% one month before the start date to cover material procurement, 25% upon commencement of assembly, and 25% upon delivery. The reservation fee is deducted from the total estimate.
