#BOLTCAR01
We’re wrapping up the final details of what will be the very first custom car by BOLT Motor Company.
We’ve named the project #BOLTZERO, because that’s exactly what it is: a starting point — one where we’ve learned and enjoyed the ride in equal measure.
Considering how much BOLT Motor Company has grown, and in light of current market trends, shifting from two wheels to four was the natural next step. Even more so when a significant part of our DNA is rooted in competitive motorsport.
While we had our doubts at first about diving into such an ambitious build, we always knew one thing for sure: no matter how many wheels it has, any motorized machine that rolls out of our workshop has to meet our highest standards.
That’s why the customization of #BOLTZERO was handled with obsessive care — down to the last bolt — so that this 40+ year-old car looks better than ever.
We’re just days away from showing you the finished project. But first, here’s a little taste of what’s coming: #BOLTZERO is a 1982 Porsche 911 SC Targa — a car that came in running, but in rough shape.
Here’s a general breakdown of the work done:
Engine rebuilt for carburetion, with modified camshaft and increased power curve
Custom widened bodywork, handcrafted from metal — no kits, no shortcuts
Replacement of all rubbers, seals, and consumables
Upgraded exhaust system with handmade tailpipes
Braking system improved with 4-piston calipers and drilled discs
Simplified and updated electronics and wiring
Restoration of interior and exterior elements
Installation of air conditioning system
Very soon, you’ll get to see the finished project — and we’ll walk you through every detail of this Porsche.
#BOLTZERO has been the spark that ignited this new chapter — and as you’ve already seen on our socials, it’s not the only one.
Several four-wheeled beauties are already waiting their turn in the operating room.
The countdown has begun.
