The #BOLT26 is built on a 1982 BMW R65, and this time, we aimed for a scrambler style that takes us straight back to the classics. With this bike, we’ve fulfilled one of our main goals: creating a super functional motorcycle with true scrambler aesthetics. And for that, BMWs are the perfect base.

In this build, we really wanted to push the potential of the original parts, restoring and refining them to achieve the most authentic look possible. For example, the front end is almost entirely original, except for the oversized Galfer brake discs and Goodridge brake lines.

Because classic doesn’t mean outdated, we integrated modern elements like a Motogadget speedometer, tachometer, and electronic components.

To ensure this bike can be used daily, the engine was fully restored, top to bottom.

A big part of this build’s appeal also comes from the fuel tank and its finish. The metallic paint was carefully chosen by the client and gives the bike a striking yet timeless presence.

If you’re curious about the rest of the process, here are some of the parts that make this scrambler so solid:
Continental tires, Highsider mirrors, Motogadget grips, and a Renthal handlebar.
We’ll say it again:
A great custom bike comes from expert hands, well-chosen components, and a good sense of what can be restored and what needs to be replaced.
